A new patio across the garden

This project reworked a tired rear garden into a generous, finished patio designed for everyday family use and entertaining. The brief was a clean, level surface that flows straight out from the house and makes the most of the whole garden, with a quality finish that would weather well and stay easy to look after.

We laid a large tumbled travertine patio in a mixed block and plank pattern, set out carefully around the house and borders. The base was dug out, prepared and laid with proper falls and drainage so the patio sheds water cleanly and stays level and usable through the seasons.

Finished and ready to enjoy

The patio was pointed and finished to a crisp, consistent standard throughout, wrapping from the French doors at the house around to the planted borders and garden beyond. Clean cut edges and tidy detailing tie the new surface neatly into the existing garden.

The result is a low maintenance outdoor space that connects the house straight to the garden, ready for outdoor dining, seating and relaxing. As with every DNR Build project, the work was managed end to end by our own team, kept tidy throughout, and finished to a standard built to add lasting value to the home.
