Reshaping the garden

This project reworked a rough, unfinished garden into a usable, well structured outdoor space, then finished it off with a bespoke timber shed built from scratch on site. The brief was to retain the levels, tidy the boundaries and create a solid, good looking storage building to suit the garden.

We framed the garden with new oak sleeper retaining beds along the boundaries, set into concrete so they hold the levels cleanly and last. Prepared bases and a reinforced concrete slab were laid ready for the shed and the rest of the garden, giving everything a firm, level footing to build off.

A bespoke shed, built from scratch

Rather than drop in a flat pack kit, we built the shed from the ground up on its own concrete base. A timber frame was put up and squared off, then clad in feather edge boards and topped with a felted apex roof for a building that is far sturdier and better looking than an off the shelf shed.

The shed was finished with a braced timber door, treated cladding and tidy gravel margins around the base, giving the family a durable, made to measure store that suits the garden and is built to last.

As with every DNR Build project, the work was managed end to end by our own team, kept tidy throughout, and finished to a standard built to add lasting value to the home.
