Craftsmanship on a grand scale

This was a substantial, high specification country house built and finished by DNR Build, with a level of detail and craftsmanship that runs from the foundations right through to the finishing touches. Every element was considered, from the natural stone elevations to the bespoke joinery inside.

The headline feature is a classical stone portico at the entrance, built around hand carved natural stone columns set on moulded plinths. Each column was carved and dressed on site, then lifted carefully into position to frame the front door beneath a deep stone canopy.

From structure to finished home

Inside, the house was finished to the same exacting standard. A sweeping staircase was formed and built as a centrepiece, and a domed cupola rooflight was created to draw natural light deep into the heart of the home, finished in clean curved plasterwork.

Outside, the grounds were fully landscaped to match the scale and quality of the house, with a sweeping gravel driveway, retaining walls, planted borders, lawns and paved courtyards that tie the whole property together.

As with every DNR Build project, the work was managed end to end by our own team, kept tidy throughout, and finished to a standard built to last for generations.
